Singapore’s Ministry of Health reported 1,037 new cases today, bringing the total to 11,179 cases. The numbers now surpassed South Korea and bring it just below Japan’s.

With 4-digit new cases reported daily, Singapore will be the top coronavirus country in Asia by as soon as tomorrow.

Coincidentally, Singapore also have the highest paid ministers in the world, and the ruling party ministers might be asking for more salaries to perform.

The Singapore Ministry of Health played down the severity of local infections, and claimed that 21 cases are Singaporeans and Permanent Residents. Health Minister Gan Kim Yong earlier called the circuit breaker (CB) measures a “success”, by excluding foreign worker numbers.

Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong has earlier in his speech said that it is “fortunate” that the vast infection are foreign workers and that they have a lower fatality rate because of their younger age.
