A 2-year-old girl was infected with the deadly coronavirus after attending school. The authorities believe that the infant was infected from teachers who were asymptomatic.
The girl last attended school on April 3, at Little Gems Pre-school in Ang Mo Kio. The two infected teachers were in the same school last on March 31, and neither of them was not showing any symptom.
Education Minister Ong Ye Kung had earlier refused to close schools and only did so reluctantly effecting the closure from tomorrow, April 8.
Singapore reported a total of 66 new cases yesterday, with a new foreign worker cluster found at Kranji Lodge dormitory. Two days ago, the health ministry also said they have lost tracked of the number of cluster-linked cases.
According to a new Ministry of Health report, 275 cases are infected locally from unknown reasons.
