In a letter to dictator Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, President of government union NTUC Mary Liew addressed Ministers Chan Chun Sing and Ng Chee Meng as “Brother”. The former PAP NMP was forthcoming in her fascist tendencies and called for the PM to let former army general Ng Chee Meng take over as NTUC’s secretary general:

“Should Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong require Brother Chan Chun Sing to return to Government in due course, may we request PM to let Brother Ng Chee Meng serve in the labour movement.”

PM Lee Hsien Loong played along with the fascist act and wrote an official letter agreeing to “release” the million-dollar Education Minister:

“You have asked me to release Minister Ng Chee Meng to serve in the Labour Movement, as I intend to ask Minister Chan Chun Sing to return to the Government. I support the NTUC Central Committee’s choice, and agree to release Chee Meng to serve in the Labour Movement on a part-time basis on 23 April 2018 and full-time from 1 May 2018 onwards.”

It is unknown how the inexperienced former army general will help out in the union role, even though he predecessor Chan Chun Sing was also a useless former army general with zero experience.

Education Minister Ng Chee Meng told state media reporters that he was teaching young children in the Ministry of Education, and calls it a relevant experience:

“In MOE, I was happily educating and nurturing the young for the future. At Labour Movement, it will be an extension of that” through areas such as equipping workers and preparing them for future jobs.”
