Ng Teng Fong General Hospital has just published a press release this evening over the train collision incident at Joo Koon station today (Nov 15). A total of 26 were admitted to the hospital and two were seriously injured:

“(11 were sent to Ng Teng Fong Hospital) Two patients were assessed to have sustained injuries under the P2 category, or major emergencies, such as limb fractures and joint dislocation. The rest sustained relatively minor injuries, such as sprains. Nine passengers have been treated and discharged, two are being treated, and two others are currently hospitalised for observation. Out of the 15 sent to NUH, one declined treatment and returned home, while 13 received treatment and have been discharged. One passenger is still currently hospitalised for observation. ”

According to a press release by the Land Transport Authority at 8.18am today, a moving train hit a stalled stationary train at Joo Koon station due to a programming fault of the new automatic signalling system. The East-West Line and Circle Line also saw major disruptions on the same day today.
