Through his control over the Election Department, dictator Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong today (Aug 28) called for the Malay Presidential Election to be held on Sep 23. The corrupted Prime Minister also ignored Halimah Yacob’s infringement of the election law that restricts election campaigning before the close of Nomination Day.
Last Friday, Halimah Yacob set up a campaign website, halimah.sg, knowingly flout the election rule. The Election Department has chosen to keep silent on the infringement, feigning ignorance as no Singaporean dares to file a police report.
Halimah Yacob’s Indian ethnicity is also overlooked by the corrupted Election Department, which redefined the Malay race as a Muslim who “belongs” to the Malay community. The PAP-endorsed Presidential candidate will also likely see a walkover in this election as the other two candidates fail to meet the financial requirement of having a company with at least S$500 million in shareholders’ equity. Halimah Yacob is excused from having similar financial requirement because she is a member of the ruling party, as dictated by the Constitution written by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.
PM Lee Hsien Loong currently controls the country’s two sovereign wealth fund companies, GIC as Chairman, and Temasek Holdings where his wife is CEO. He also controls the Ministry of Finance and the Monetary Authority of Singapore under his Prime Minister’s Office. The corrupted dictator will have full access to CPF funds and the national reserves as he had once a new puppet president is in place. Former puppet presidents like S R Nathan and Tony Tan were also always pliant to the Prime Minister.
