Lee Hsien Yang has been confirmed to have arrived in Hong Kong safely yesterday (June 25) and now out of his dictator brother Lee Hsien Loong’s clutches. However, there remains an assassination possibility for Lee Hsien Yang like how the elder brother of Kim Jong Un died in Malaysia. The Hong Kong police said that although they will not send personal bodyguards, they will monitor the movements of Lee Hsien Yang and his family in the island to ensure theirsafety. Lee Hsien Yang told Hong Kong reporters that he is in Hong Kong to “see friends” and declined further interviews.
Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong has been proven to have abused his authority to stop the will of their deceased father Lee Kuan Yew. The younger siblings are determined on carrying out their father’s last wish to demolish 38 Oxley Road house, but the Prime Minister wants to preserve the house to build a legacy for himself.
Lee Hsien Loong wanted the house preserved as he believes his reputation is linked to his father’s, and the house would also reserve future Prime Minister positions for his son, Li Hong Yi, and descendants. Lee Hong Yi is currently a senior ranking official at the propaganda ministry, Ministry of Communications and Information.
