Ex-Malaysian new citizen Chow Chuin Yee has been charged in court today (June 15) for using criminal force to barge into a 76-year-old elderly when the latter tried to share a table with him and his wife. The 45-year-old ex-Malaysian Singaporean who never serve National Service was also charged for disorderly behaviour, as the court heard that Chow Chuin Yee swept all the used plates and bowls to the floor after chasing the old man away.
The incident happened on April 21 at a kopitiam at Toa Payoh Lorong 8, and the couple’s unruly actions were video-ed by a witness.
His wife, Singaporean Tay Puay Leng, 38, was also charged with verbal abusing the elderly with intent to alarm. The couple operate a tuition centre at Bukit Timah Balmoral Plaza.
