The Singapore Police will not be taking any action against former Nominated Member of Parliament (NMP) Calvin Cheng for his insidious hate speech on killing children.
On 17 Nov 2015, the PAP politician wrote on his Facebook page calling for the murder of children of terrorists so they will not be able to “take revenget” when they grow up:
““So you kill them (terrorists) before they kill you. And their children too in case they grow up to take revenge.”
Boasting on his Facebook page, former NMP Calvin Cheng posted a photo of police letter exonerating him of any fault. The letter says:
“After careful considerations of the facts and circumstances of the case and in consultation with the Attorney-General’s Chambers, the Police have decided not to take further action against you.”
Ex-NMP Calvin Cheng then took the opportunity to slam those who reported him are “wasting police resources” and using the police as “political tools”. The PAP-endorsed ex-NMP even defamed Opposition politician Goh Meng Seng a “veteran loser” in his rant:
“Opposition characters need to stop using police reports as a political tool. As revenge. The police is not your instrument for personal vendettas.
P.S. I just read in TODAY that some insignificant opposition veteran loser (literally) is disappointed. I am sorry he got disappointed.”
In a deleted post, ex-NMP Calvin Cheng bragged that the Singapore Police has not taken any action against any PAP politicians like himself.
“Past police reports lodged against People’s Action Party (PAP) politicians: Dr Lam Pin Min for his Facebook post on a Thaipusam incident last February, Madam Rahayu Mahzam for her speech in a General Election rally, and Minister K Shanmugam on alleged violation of election advertising regulations… People who made the reports are all politically active. This is a disturbing trend.”
