Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong goes racist publicly against Chinese Singaporeans and indirectly declared that the upcoming President shall be non-Chinese. Quoting the skewed survey results from state media Channel News Asia and government-controlled education institution Lee Kuan Yew Institute of Public Policies, PM Lee said that Singaporean Chinese are racist and will not vote for a minority race for President over a Chinese candidate.
“Not everybody will rule him out but some will find the hurdle higher and so he starts off at a disadvantage – and in a close election, that will make a big difference. And though all voters say they will vote for the best candidate, that definition differs depending on which voter you ask, and race is one of the factors which goes into that.
Race is a factor “we have to accept and… take into account and decide what we’re going to do about, to make sure our system will work properly.”
PM Lee also said that a non-Chinese President “reflect the success of meritocracy”, and that Singaporean Chinese would accept a law that bans Singaporean Chinese from contesting the Presidential election:
“I am confident the Chinese community would accept such a measure as “majority Chinese accept that we cannot be a Chinese-Chinese society and that was so right from the beginning. If they look at the elected President changes in that spirit, (as) part of being a harmonious, happy, multiracial society, then I think that people will understand and will accept and will support.”
As announced during the National Day Rally, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong will re-write the Constitution and ban Tan Cheng Bock from contesting in the upcoming Presidential election. The corrupted Singapore Prime Minister is trying to be subtle about this and is now playing the race card to bar Tan Cheng Bock from contesting. Members of the current Presidential Committee to “review” the criteria are all appointed by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.
