Commuters riding along a Light Rapid Transit (LRT) train at Bukit Panjang Circle line were terrified when their train travelled at high speed and sped through 3 stations without stopping. Emergency button and communication was not working during the ordeal.
The train picked up passengers at Segar station and then sped through 3 stations before stopping before the platform near Phoenix Station. The train only slowed down when a commuter used his mobile phone to call the authorities.
This incident is understood to have taken place on July 28th, and SMRT did not declare the incident to the public in a possible cover up. The news is censored in Singapore’s mainstream media.
