The yearly haze is back in Singapore but many are doubting the official 24hr-Pollutant Standards Index (PSI) level of 70-range as there is a burning smell and visibility is limited to about 500m.
According to the National Environment Agency (NEA), the average PSI level for the past few days was in the moderate-range and peaked at only 84psi on 8pm last night (March 30). However photos uploaded on the internet seemingly suggested the haze level to be much worse:

Local authorities blamed the haze on local vegetation fire and fire in Eastern Malaysia. On the ASEAN haze monitoring website, the wind direction suggested that the haze are trans-boundary and largely came from Malaysia.
