A drunk PRC national working as a construction worker in Singapore was sentenced to 7 months’ jail today (Mar 9) for making a phone call threatening to wipe out Lee Hsien Loong’s family and bombing the Parliament.

Using his friend’s phone, 31-year-old Zhang Quanfu called the 999 emergency line in a drunken stupor saying:

“I immediately want you to get me a line through to be Prime Minister’s home … I will wipe out the whole family immediately…I will let the Parliament building explode immediately.”

In his drunken state, he told the police over the phone that he was in the vicinity of Geylang Lorong 26 and even gave his full name and the description of what he was wearing. When arrested, he said he drank at least 5 bottles of beer with friends at a restaurant in Geylang.
