This year’s Subaru Car Challenge is won by a foreigner for the first time since its inception 14 years ago. Vietnamese Nguyen Phuoc Huynh stood out 77 hours and 58 minutes winning the first spot after second-place Malaysian Tan Hong Sheng dropped out after his palm slipped from the car. The third place was Singaporean Yip Yu Wai.
33 year old salesman Nguyen Phuoc Huynh won the Subaru XV and a COE license worth a total of about S$110,000. 400 participants took part in the annual car challenge where the last man standing gets the car with COE fully paid.
