In a press release by Singapore Turf Club last Monday (Sep 28), Singapore’s international horse racing competitions, namely the Singapore Airlines International Cup (SIA Cup) and KrisFlyer International Sprint (KFIS), will be completely removed. This is a result from SIA’s withdrawal in the sponsorship of Singapore’s only two international horse racing competitions.

On its financial report for the first quarter of FY16 ending June 2015, the SIA group saw rising operating profits netting in S$111 million. Its subsidiaries TigerAir and Scoot, made a loss of S$1.7 million and S$20 million respectively.
