Update: Breadtalk has responded to the Facebook post where a Bengawan Solo kueh lapis was used at their bakery room, saying that the cake was for personal consumption.

Singapore’s confectionery franchise Breadtalk took the negative spotlight again after two photos made waves on the internet. The first one is of two Breadtalk staffs pouring Yeo’s soya bean milk into its own packaging and selling them out to customers.

The second one which went viral in Facebook, is of another Breadtalk staff repackaging kueh lapis from Bengawan Solo:

Earlier this year in March, Breadtalk was under fire for capitalising on Lee Kuan Yew’s death to market its bread, which was eventually removed after multiple complains from the public:
