On hearing news about 16 year old Amos Yee being sent to a mental hospital by the Singapore Government, Hongkongers today rallied outside the Singapore consulate in Hongkong to protest against Lee Hsien Loong and demanding that the YouTuber be freed.

About 50 students from universities and polytechnics in Hongkong joined the protest and condemned the Singapore Government for oppressing human rights and free speech. Amos Yee, 16, was sent to more than 39 days of jail and a further 14 days in the mental asylum because he created a video criticizing the recently-deceased former Singapore Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew, calling him a horrible person and a dictator.

The Hongkong protest is the second international protest after Taiwanese protested in Taipei wearing caricatures of Lee Hsien Loong.
