A Singapore Policeman was shot at Khoo Teck Puat hospital this evening (June 20) at 7.05pm. The 31 year old policeman was in a private room in the hospital escorting a 24 year old Singaporean suspect after the latter complained about chest pains. The suspect then wrestled with the policeman and in the struggle the police was shot at his thumb and foot.
The suspect was reported to suffer superficial injuries and the policeman was treated at Tan Tock Seng hospital in Novena although the incident took place at Khoo Teck Puat hospital in Yishun, according to government-controlled media The New Paper.
