On Sep 6, 2011, Guntur, then a Woodlands Wellington S-League player, was jailed one month and fined S$3,000 for voluntarily causing hurt and disorderly behaviour. Guntur was walking at a bridge in Clark Quay and punched a stranger for no reason. He later hurled abusive languages at the police while under custody.
