According to My Paper, an elderly man in his sixties have been feigning a fall to sell more tissue paper in the roads of Bugis and Raffles Place. An unnamed witness interviewed by My Paper said that the elderly man would appear in lunchtime hours. He would then make his way to cross a traffic light junction and feign a fall in the middle of the road to seek help from passer-bys. According to unnamed sources by My Paper, the elderly man has been doing so for the past 5 years.

There has also been an increase in the number of tissue peddlers in public places in Singapore.
